driving the future of ev manufacturing

Scope

Building a Gas Insulated Switchgear system to power a new EV battery cathode manufacturing plant.

Service Electric crews are proud to be supporting the construction of the new cathode manufacturing plant—a project that marks a major step forward in the growth of the U.S. electric vehicle supply chain.

The new facility will produce materials for electric vehicle batteries, a key component that determines battery performance and driving range.

Service Electric crews constructed a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) system which is part of the substation powering the facility. GIS technology offers a compact, high-efficiency design ideal for industrial applications that demand reliability and precision.

This project reflects Service Electric’s growing expertise in specialized substation work and our continued role in powering progress across the region. By contributing to a facility that will help drive the future of electric vehicle manufacturing, our crews are once again showing what it means to deliver excellence—no matter the scale of the challenge.
