Custodian – Chattanooga, TN
POSITION SUMMARY
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming office environment. This role ensures daily cleanliness, supports basic facility needs, and helps create a professional workplace that supports employee productivity and well-being.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors and carpets
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles daily
- Restock restroom and breakroom supplies
- Clean interior glass, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Set up and break down meeting rooms as needed
- Perform light maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting repairs)
- Follow safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supply inventory
- Respond to special cleaning requests or spills as needed
- Others duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, walking)

- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
